Abstract Caspase recruitment domain protein 9 (CARD9) is a non-redundant adapter protein regulating intra-cellular signal transduction pathway through CARD-CARD interaction. CARD9 has been widely studied in the infectious diseases, also been found to be highly expressed in non-infectious inflammatory diseases, which may be involved in the development of non-infectious inflammatory diseases and play a regulatory role in its pathogenesis. This article briefly describes the structure of CARD9 and its association with inflammatory signaling pathways in the body, focusing on the research progress of the role and mechanism of CARD9 in non-infectious inflammatory diseases of cardiovascular system, digestive system, autoimmune system and so on.
