Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a common critical condition with high mortality in the intensive care unit. However, exact early biomarkers and therapeutic targets have not been found so far. At present, the rapid development of metabolomics research, especially the rapid development of lipidomics, provides the possibility to solve this problem for us. Therefore, this article reviews the development of lipidomics in ARDS.
