Abstract This article expatiated on the development of poisoning and emergency toxicology in China.Themain contentsincluded ofthe current situation aboutthe clinicaltreatmentfor acute poisoning，the development of emergency toxicology，and the development trend of emergency poisoning treatment and its countermeasures. Although emergency treatment for acute poisoning was one of the characteris⁃tics of emergency medicine subjects and contacted with other disciplines closely，but due to the knowledge breadth of therapist the research on acute poisoning was limited to described rare poison，and lack of
detailed and in-depth investigation of poison physiology. The general means for critically ill treatment (such as blood purification，artificial liver，ECMO and so on) were enthusiastic about acute poisoning，and lack of the characteristics of acute poisoning in critically ill treatment method. That suggested the finding of military toxicology research and large data resources should pay more attention，such as the syndrome feature applications based on the clinical data clustering to preliminary judgment for suspected poison quickly according to different combinations of symptoms；fingerprint of auxiliary examination
based on large data which can diagnose and trace the poison；seamless treatment process based on the toxicokinetics of the poison；and prevision emergency mechanism for chemical poisoning events based on the big data resource. All of this had an important significance for guiding the Chinese poisoning and emergency toxicology discipline.
