Abstract Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common severe disease in ICU. Diagnosis and grading standards of AKI are usually based on serum creatinine and urine output. There are some limitations. So it is necessary to find AKI related biomakers for early rapid diagnosis. The markers should have high specificity and sensitivity to indicate the occurrence, development and prognosis of disease situation. This article reviews the AKI related makers, such as NGAL, KIM-1, Cys C, to put forward a single marker for the diagnosis of AKI significance does not has obvious advantages.
