Abstract Objective To understand the clinical characteristics of chest pain patients in emergency resuscitation room and analyze the risk factors of fatal chest pain. Methods The data of 844 chest pain patients from the emergency resuscitation room of the Fifth People′s Hospital of Shanghai from December 2015 to November 2018 were collected and the characteristics, visiting time, pathogeny and vital signs of patients were analyzed retrospectively. Results The average age of all chest pain patients was (63.12±15.53) years old, and 355 cases (42.06%) of patients were diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). The chest pain patients whose visiting time being from 12 am to 4 pm had the highest ACS rate (51.33%), and those whose visiting time being from 20 pm to 24 pm had the lowest ACS rate (31.11%). Male, hypotension and slow heart rate were risk factors of fatal chest pain (P<0.05). Conclusion The visiting time, pathogeny of chest pain patients and the fatal chest pain patients characteristics in emergency resuscitation room have obvious particularity. Understanding these is good for preventing and treating the disease.
