Abstract Objective Research on patients with diabetic ketoacidosis complicating acute pancreatitis by small dose of insulin combined with the growth of the efficacy and safety of the treatment of somatostatin . Methods Retrospective analysis of our hospital in 2008 January to 2011 December and January 2012 to 2014 December two time periods were 36 cases in each diabetic ketoacidosis complicating acute pancreatitis patients, the former is set to the control group, and the latter is the research group. The control group was treated with routine treatment, and the patients in the study group were treated with small dose of insulin combined with somatostatin. Comparison and analysis of two groups of patients before and after treatment of blood amylase, the level of blood sugar, blood ketone body levels, triglyceride. Statistical analysis of all patients in the treatment of adverse reactions.Results The study group patients after treatment with small dose insulin combined with somatostatin, 1 case died, the remaining 35 cases were cured, the control group were treated with regular treatment, two cases died. Before treatment, two groups of patients with blood amylase, the level of blood sugar, blood ketone body levels, and triglyceride no statistical difference (P > 0. 05);After treatment, the study group and the control group, the blood amylase, the level of blood sugar, blood ketone body levels, and triglyceride declined,but the degree of decline in the study group was more obvious, the two groups were statistically significant (P < 0. 05). In the study group, there were 3 cases of dizziness, 1 cases of patients with severe vomiting, 2 cases of patients with defecation difficulties, all patients had no severe adverse reactions. The control group of patients with dizziness, 1 cases of patients with increased vomiting, 3 cases of patients with defecation difficulties ( P > 0. 05). Conclusion Diabetic ketoacidosis patients using small dose of insulin combined with growth effect of somatostatin in the treatment effect better, treatment process in high security, can be used for reference in application.
