| Predictive value on coronary artery lesions of patients with acute myocardial infarction by GDF- 15 gene polymorphism and GRACE risk score |

Abstract Objective To explore the predictive value on coronary artery lesions of patients with acute myocardial infarction（AMI）by growth differentiation factor 15（GDF- 15）gene polymor⁃ phism and GRACE risk score, and to provide reference for AMI’s diagnosis, treatment and prognosis evaluation. Methods Sixty cases with AMI were selected as observation group, and 30 patients with nor⁃ mal coronary angiography were selected as control group. They were all given detection of GDF-15 gene polymorphism, GRACE risk score, coronary angiography. Patients in observation group were divided into subgroups of coronary artery stenosis ≥ 50% and ＜50% by coronary angiography, and were divided into subgroups of low risk, medium risk and high risk. Polymorphism of GDF-15 genotype and allele between or among above groups were compared. Results +157A/T locus of GDF-15 gene in observation group and control group were all conformed to Hardy Weinberg genetic equilibrium law（P＞0.05）, and had representation of groups. Between groups of observation group and control group, subgroups of coronaryartery stenosis ≥50% and ＜50% , and among subgroups of low risk, medium risk and high risk by GRACE risk score, and there were statistical difference between（or among）groups on frequency distri⁃ bution of +157A/T locus of GDF-15 gene（P＜0.05）, and A/T genotype on +157A/T locus increased risks of AMI’s attack, GRACE risk score and coronary artery stenosis. There were no statistical differ⁃ ence on allele frequency between（or among）groups（P＞0.05）. Conclusion GDF-15 gene polymor⁃ phism on +157A/T locus has correlation with coronary lesion severity of AMI patients, and its AT geno⁃ types may have more close relationship with coronary lesion severity, also has consistent correlation with GRACE risk score, so it may be one of the biological indicators of predicting coronary lesion severity.
