Abstract Epstein-barr virus（EBV）infection is very common in the crowd，usually exist in as⁃ ymptomatic latent infection; and EBV is closely related to a variety of malignancies such as lymphoma， nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Due to the heterogeneity and high universality of EBV infection related dis⁃ eases，a lot of immunodeficiency patients with fever of unknown origin（FUO）for emergency treatment，are always the case combination of lymphoma or EBV infection behind. In this paper，progress on the biologi⁃ cal characteristics of EBV，EBV related lymphocyte proliferation tumor and epitheliogenic malignant tu⁃ mor were summarized，so as to enhance the clinical understanding of EBV- related hyperplastic disease.
