Abstract The development of the emergency department is not balanced in the different areas or the different medical institutions, because of the construction about emergency medicine being late. To update the teaching quality, standardize teaching behavior and improve the teaching quality, we have applied the theory of Total Quality Management(TQM)to the clinical medical teaching in the emergency department of second level of first- class hospital. And we have built up the innovation of emergen⁃ cy teaching of“student-oriented”and "three comprehensive and two developments". The concrete con⁃ tent includes:“all personnel being involved in”,“all the knowledge being learning”and“all pro⁃ cess of teaching being monitoring”. Our aim is to realize the development of the knowledge and realize the development of all teachers and students.
